This gorgeous snowy location was not our first, not our second, not our third, but our fourth option for Lauren and Jesus’ engagement photos.
Lauren and Jesus chose me as their wedding photographer for their upcoming wedding in May (YAY!) We had discussed locations for their complimentary engagement session and landed on Smith Rock in Terrebone, Oregon.
In typical Oregon fashion, there was a snow storm that came out of the blue in mid-February. So we regrouped, let the snow die down and decided to change our plans and head to Mt.Hood for some beautiful sunrise photos at White River Sno Park West.
The drive up to to the mountain was dark and SO SNOWY, to the point that it was difficult to even see. So we regrouped yet again and headed to Timberline Lodge. We were able to capture some adorable photos of Lauren and Jesus in the lodge, but the snow was coming down so aggressively that we couldn’t manage to get any photos outdoors.
So we packed up our cars and headed down the mountain in search of somewhere the snow was falling, instead of just pelting us in the face. :’)
We drove back down HWY 26 and found this gorgeous campground along the highway. The snow was falling so beautifully and we finally found our spot.
We had so much fun running around in the snow and celebrating Lauren and Jesus. Here are a few of my favorite shots from this crazy engagement photo shoot morning at Mt.Hood.
