Weather in January can be tough for photographers. The winter months are typically my “slow season”, as the PNW weather typically leads to a lot of rescheduled shoots. This January I had a handful of branding shoots and studio sessions, which are SO much fun, but I was ready to shoot outdoors again! I was so excited when Tara reached out to me and told me she wanted to head to the mountain for her engagement photos.
A little back story, Tara and I met when I was 6 years old and we were in the same Horse 4H club, the Rodeo Riders. (Hi, Sissy!) We spent a lot of time at the barn together over the years, so it was so special to me to be able to capture her engagement photos.
Tara and Sam share a love for skiing and the mountains. So I met them at a gorgeous snow park near Mt.Hood and we were basically the only people there, which was amazing! The weather was beautiful and we got some super fun shots to celebrate their engagement.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from Tara and Sam’s Mt.Hood engagement session.
